I’m pretty picky about the websites I recommend to other. Truth be told, I won’t visit a site unless it looks like it’s worth visiting; I won’t comment on a site unless it’s impressed me, and I won’t recommend it unless it’s a keeper.

The criteria that make a site no so special? First and foremost is crappy design. I guess design can be overlooked if the content is stellar, but really, who wants to spend a lot of time on an ugly page? (Hence the gorgeous blog you see here.) The other tragic flaw of an otherwise impressive site is definitely too much text. A picture is worth a thousand words, right? So try using a few.

Anyway, the whole reason I decided to blog on recommendable websites today is because I came across a favorite of mine. One that had long been lost from my Bookmarked Pages, but has since been found.

So what is it? It’s called Makeup Alley and it’s got thousands of product reviews of thousands of makeup products. (Sorry guys. As a girl I’m entitled to be shallow and vain and report on makeup websites.)

Anyway, for anyone who doesn’t believe that Rihanna wears Revlon and Beyonce’s concealer of choice is made by Covergirl, check it out. You won’t be disappointed.
